ExchangeCrypto NZ operates under the Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what personal information we handle and what you can do about it. It is deliberately short, because we deliberately collect very little.
What we collect
Nothing from readers by default. You do not need an account to read anything on this site, and we do not ask you to submit personal details to access content.
Email correspondence. If you write to us, we hold your message, your email address and anything you choose to include, for as long as necessary to respond and to keep a record of corrections.
Technical information. Standard web server and analytics information — pages requested, approximate location, browser type, referring page — processed to operate and improve the site. This is aggregate and not used to identify individuals.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
- We do not ask for financial account details, credentials, private keys or recovery phrases. Nobody legitimate ever will.
- We do not send unsolicited investment offers, and we do not contact people about recovering lost funds.
- We do not build advertising profiles for resale.
Cookies and analytics
This site is built as static pages and uses minimal client-side scripting. Where analytics are used, they are configured to collect aggregate usage information rather than to identify individuals. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site is designed to function without them.
Third-party links
We link to external sites including platforms, regulators and government agencies. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply and this policy does not. We have no control over what third parties collect.
Storage and security
Information is held on standard hosting and email infrastructure with reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure. Because we collect very little, the practical exposure from any incident is limited.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected. Email contact@exchangecrypto.nz and we will respond within the statutory timeframe.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and its review date. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
