We are not a registered financial adviser and we do not hold client funds. Cryptoassets are volatile and largely unregulated in New Zealand, and you can lose everything you put in. Cryptoassets are risky
Cryptoasset prices are highly volatile and have repeatedly fallen seventy percent or more from cycle highs. Past performance says nothing about future results. You should not commit money you cannot afford to lose entirely.
There is no deposit guarantee, compensation scheme or insurance covering cryptoassets held on a platform in New Zealand. If a platform fails, you are an unsecured creditor. Since 2019, five platforms serving New Zealanders have ceased operating — Cryptopia, BitPrime, Dasset, Kiwi-Coin and Easy Crypto. Our failures page sets out what happened in each case.

We take accuracy seriously and cite primary sources where they exist, but we make no warranty that everything on this site is complete, current or free from error. Fee schedules, supported currencies, ownership and terms change without notice.
Every page carries a review date. Before acting on any figure, verify it against the operator's own published documentation. If you find something wrong, tell us at contact@exchangecrypto.nz — corrections are published.
